Twenty-eight-year-old Devon Cyr was handed 14 years in prison for manslaughter in relation to the 2020 death of Isaiah Allary.

Devon Cyr was the victim of an attempted murder in 2015. On Friday, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for killing another man.

Sentencing submissions in Devon Cyr’s manslaughter case were presented on Tuesday, with the Crown Prosecutor asking for a life sentence.

The Crown is pushing for Devon Cyr, 28, to serve a life sentence for manslaughter in the January 2020 death of Isaiah Allary, 24. The defence argues four to 12 years is more appropriate.

A jury has found Devon Wayne Cyr guilty of manslaughter in the January 2020 death of Isaiah Trent Allary.

A key Crown witness was under questioning by the defence Wednesday at the murder trial of Devon Cyr.
