After a track record-equalling mile in stakes action last week, Buzzsaw Russ, with John DeLong in the bike, continued his winning ways in the  $96,000 Indiana Sires Stakes for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings on Friday, July 28 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.

Indiana Sire Stakes for the three-year-old pacing colts and geldings reached the midway point as round four of eight highlighted Hoosier Park's 14-race card on Friday, July 21. A lone $96,000 division for the glamour boys featured Coach Stefanos putting his undefeated 2023 record on the line, but last season's two-year-old champion, Buzzsaw Russ, pulled off the mild 9-2 upset in track record-equalling fashion.

Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino played host to Hoosier Champions Night on Friday (Oct. 14) and the 15-race program provided a fitting conclusion to the 2022 Indiana Sires Stakes season. 

Indiana Sire Stakes action continued at Harrah’s Hoosier Park on Friday night (Aug. 19), with two $68,000 divisions for the two-year-old-pacing colts and geldings highlighting the 14-race card. It was leg three of six for the freshman pacing colts as they look to secure crucial points for the $250,000 Indiana Sire Stakes Super Finals on Oct. 14.

Winning a first start is always an impressive accomplishment. Winning a stakes race? Even better. Closing in :25.1 for the stakes win? That's really going to attract attention.
