Longmont Police responded Wednesday night to the 1700 block of Main Street in reference to an assault. A report was taken and this case is closed.

On Thursday at 5:01 p.m., police attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Dexter Drive and Emery Street. The driver reportedly drove recklessly and eluded the officer and the vehicle was later found abandoned and was later impounded. The case is still under investigation.
