Die Brug News Today

Model and social media influencer Avril Albetti took part in new reality television show Die Brug so she could create more opportunities for young girls from her small Eastern Cape hometown. Two episodes into the kykNET show, Albetti, 38, who grew up near Kariega in the small town of Loerie, has already caused waves and has set herself up as the show’s unapologetically cut-throat player.

From school initiations to babies born behind bars and from preventive mastectomies to protesting pensioners, the annual kykNET Silwerskermfees is a captivating display of themes that affect ordinary and extraordinary South Africans.

A local version of the popular international reality franchise The Bridge is coming to kykNET this October.
