So many jubilant Argentine fans swarmed the streets of Buenos Aires that the soccer team had to abandon the open-air bus transporting them to the city and board helicopters for a capital flyover.

Buenos Aires was picking itself up Wednesday, a day after 4 million people attended a parade to celebrate the Argentine national soccer teams World Cup victory before fans clashed with cops.

Officers armed with shields and batons were pelted with missiles at the Obelisco monument in the countrys capital hours after fans tried to jump into the victory bus.
