This closure, of course, has put a lot of students in a very tough spot. We talked with one man a short time ago who told us he was very close to getting his degree. Now hes trying to figure out what to do. Its like nightmare for me because i spent like more than four years on that campus, and about to complete my bachelors in two quarters, so i put a lot of effort and everything. Totally surprised. Reporter syad says he has been attending classes at itt tech for the past four years, and was two quarters away from getting his degree in cyber security. He told me when i asked how much money he spent on trying to get that degree, he told me a a lot. And he is one of about 45,000 students across the country who are in trouble as itt tech has shut down all of its 130 campuses. Through pittsburg and bay point and pete sarutos a reason why we might see more folks on the roadway instead of the rails. Pete, what do you have out there . Yeah, mike, you know, if youre traveling between North Concord to pittsburg bay point wont be a bus bridge and a number of commuters using that bus bridge this morning. An electrical surge that affected the tracks, damaging several cars. If youre going between both of those stations, youll have to use a bus bridge and we spoke to one person who hopped on the bus bridge bus and he was a rush. Heres what he had to say about these delays. Early in the morning and not trying to take the bus here. I have to go all the way up to fris. Got to get the money, right . Get to work. I want to point out if you are at this concord station, you can still get to oakland and San Francisco and at this time the fare is free, as well as parking here at b. A. R. T. A good idea to get here early was you expect some delays. Pete, thank you. As this stor
[indistinct chatter] announcer next, a look at the future of the Smithsonian Institution with the new secretary. He sat down with a conversation with the Aspen Institute president and ceo. This is one hour 15 minutes. [indistinct chatter] all right, i think we are ready. Good afternoon. Thank you all for being here. I am the director of the Aspen Institute, and it is my pleasure to curate four or five times a year, some of these washington roundtable series, sponsored by michelle smith. We want to thank you, michelle. The conversations i curate naturally deal with the arts, but not just with the arts, but art and society and how the arts intersect and how they can be productive and evermore interactive partners with all of the areas of society, which is very much of course in keeping with the mission of the Aspen Institute itself. Today, we are very happy to welcome dr. David score 10, the new secretary of the smithsonian, who comes to us building on a distinguished career in medicine.
