Dod Doj News Today

Moment but first of all, let me tell you where i am. This is the very landing area in order to get to Ketron Island where the 29yearold crashed that plane. Now, to give you an idea of how sparsely populated that is, the last census said theres only 17 residents living there. We now know theres dozens of investigators at that site. They would have left from here in order to get there. It is about a 10 minute ferry ride. The first as well as the data recorder. Ultimately, what evidence they could ...

Court on don mcgahn? it was a stunning rebuke of not just the administration, but the dod doj and what the doj is arguing. a judge said that in order to argue that these administration officials do not have to testify, you have to read the constitution and its separation of powers backwards. >> yeah. that judge didnt come to play. that was a fun read. >> she said all of history has shown that the president is not a king. >> which is exactly right. but i think it still comes down to the fact that...

That that dossier was the basis of the russian investigation and we know because of the release of dod doj documents it was this told british officials the trump campaign promised dirt on hillary clinton. and again, plenty to fact check in these tweets but of course, the president wants the drive up the base as he has in the past to draw into session the legitimacy of the russia investigation. >> facts, facts, facts. boris sanchez, thank you. the president also tweeting about charlottesville. it...

President trump is honest. with that as a backdrop, the fact that you have a highly respected republican special counsel, robert mueller, who is pursuing serious criminal allegations against people close to donald trump, and we will see what he comes up with on the president himself, but the president is in deep trouble, james comey is not. >> what do you think, alex, does comey walk a rather fine line? risk giving the president leverage to attack the fbi and dod doj and question their credibili...

You cant do your job? thats absurd -- >> what can congress do if andrew mccabe is fired? >> american people need to understand what is happening today, on fox news, they are deliberately trying to do what they did to the media, saying you cant trust anybody. not even the guys with guns at doj and fbi. theyre thinking they may come up with information, neutrally, they may not. but may come up with information damaging to the president. this is a campaign to make sure if and when that information ...

Specifics of what andrew mccabe told your committee. it was all behind closed doors. but give us the bottom line. do you have a greater sense of what comey said as result of what you heard? >> yeah. i think its a really important question, wolf, because i cant disagree more with what jason miller said a little while ago on the program, what were hearing too much, that fbi and law enforcement and doj were made political. in yesterdays testimony, every document that i have reviewed, every testimon...

>> i will point out that christopher wray, the new fbi director, he was testifying on capit capitol hill, he gave a strong vote of confidence for his deputy director. >> where i agree with robby, the timing of this -- i have no idea what house republicans were thinking scheduling this today or why doing it now. i heard different things, like maybe they were going to be getting into more of the whole dossier issue and why the heck there may have been government funds go to this or who knew what a...

>> who is completely separate from hillary clinton. >> it was a virginia state race, democratic governor of virginia. >> its not unusual for the head of the democratic party to give to candidates running in virginia. >> jason, youre a trump loyalist, how concerned are you about the testimony that presumably corroborates what james comey was saying and the heart of it could be in an obstruction of justice case? >> not at all. of course former director comey is going to give the same story to mcca...

In fact, at one point, he basically said the fbi and our state cant understand that a, quote, latino kid from union city could grow up to be a u.s. senator. tough talk for a man who could still face another trial if the dod doj decides to retry the case. so why is menendez so confident? he got a very good sign from one juror who says this whole jury was very close to acquitting him. but in that unusual twist, she basically says that this was a mistrial because a few people were holding out deadl...

According to donald trumps own dod doj, he messed up. >> sure, there are rules. theres a mandate that says to investigate russia collusion. the secondary part of that is anything thats directly related to that mandate is within his jurisdiction. and third, anything that deals with false statements or perjury is within the mandate. where the rubber is going to meet the road is when we reach questions about how far that mandate goes. its intended to be broad and all encompassing. its intended to p...
