The takeover of power here, there has been an attempt by russia to try to start cozying up to the regime in cairo, selling it military equipment. but nonetheless, egypt is still a strong ally of the united states. whether or not russia can actually continue or sustain this for a long period of time, whether or not it can gain some of that political and diplomatic foothold in the middle east, that remains to be seen. i dont think a lot of people here in the region are expecting the middle east to...
