The vacancy left by former Onslow County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jack Brights resignation last week has been filled.

The Onslow County Republican Party announced late Wednesday night their nomination for who would replace Former Commissioner William Shanahan on the Board of Commissioners after he stepped down on Dec. 8 in preparation for transitioning to his new judicial duties as a District Court Judge.   Mark Price, who was also formerly on BOC, was nominated by the the partys executive committee as their choice to fill the vacant seat.
