There's a criminal out in Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood will be in for quite a surprise when he opens up the vacuum that he stole from the back of a beekeeper's van.

"To the poor soul who lifted the shop vac out of the back of my truck, I wanted to give you a heads up... The vacuum was there because it was filled with European hornet queens,” owner of Philadelphia Bee Co., Don Shump, said.

A vacuum used for bee and wasp removals was stolen from the back of a Philadelphia Bee Co. truck last Thursday, owner Don Shump said. The vacuum contained hundreds of European hornets, mostly large queens, that were removed from a nest in the city. Shump posted an open letter to the thief on Facebook warning of what's in the stolen vacuum. The species is aggressive when threatened and capable of inflicting multiple stings.
