Attendees listened to pastors speak at the event sang along to worship songs. The Salvation Army provided food and shirts commemorating the event.

Proceeds from the event will be used by Love in Action to help people in need with washing their clothes, either at laundromats or, eventually, with the purchase of a communal washer and dryer

‘Love in Action’ organization provides an opportunity for artists to display and sell their artwork, share their talents and earn extra money.

Love in Action, established as an official nonprofit in 2018, is housed at the Center for Community Impact, 414 University Ave.

The event was a chance for veterans and their families to meet one another and to get available resources
