The Cleveland, Tennessee, man convicted of pushing police barricades and throwing a flagpole like a spear toward officers defending the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, but the trend in recent sentencings suggests he may get somewhat less than that.

The Cleveland, Tennessee, man in a Capitol breach bench trial in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., was convicted Wednesday on 10 counts in an 11-count indictment.
