As Jewish communities around the US celebrated Hanukkah over the past week, stories of vandalism and destruction circulated as public menorahs were targeted.

The Jewish Center for Chabad held a gathering at the Piedmont Community Hall on Thursday, where Rabbi Dovid Labkowski lit a giant menorah to celebrate the 8th night of Hanukkah. 

“It makes me feel angry that this would happen in Oakland, a place with so much diversity,” said Rabbi Dovid Labkowski, a local Chabad rabbi.The post Antisemitic vandals target Chanukah
