Michael Jacksons former bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, 44 (pictured), has spoken out about his failed £7.5 million bid for a lighthouse-inspired saddest ever Grand Designs home. 

After being close to a sale last month, Chesil Cliff House in Croyde, Devon, has been put back on the market with a new plan to shift the development.

Edward Short, whose desperate battle to build and then sell his Devon seafront house, now faces fresh heartache after the buyer he thought would take it off his hands pulled out of the sale.

Chesil Cliff House and its annex in North Devon became a nightmare for Grand Designs star Edward Short, ending his marriage after 12 years and plunging his family into debt.

Mr Fiddes, who has built a global fitness empire with over 700 Martial Arts and fitness schools worldwide and is worth an estimated £30 million plans to convert Chesil Cliff House into 12 luxury flats.
