RTD will suspend its downtown loop light rail service from late May through September as a part of a $152 million reconstruction project to replace aging infrastructure and rebuild several at-grade rail and street intersections.

The Regional Transportation District is embarking on a $152 million project to reconstruct miles of light rail track in downtown Denver, Colorado.

Denverites commuting downtown will need to find other ways to get around beginning in late spring as RTD plans to suspend several light rail trains due to a multi-phased reconstruction project.

Maintenance along the RTD L Line tracks will reduce the rail line's service to 30-minute intervals through Friday.
