SHOCKING: Bodies of two COVID-19 victims found in Bengaluru hospital mortuary after 15 months - Housekeeping staff recovered the bodies on November 26 when they went to clean the cold storage and noticed a foul smell emanating from the freezers.

Bodies of two COVID-19 positive patients who had died over a year ago were recovered from the mortuary of an ESI Hospital in Bengalurus Rajajinagar city.

Family members of the two patients said that civic and hospital authorities did not hand over the body to them, citing infection risks, and informed them that they were cremated.

Nearly a year and a half after they lost their loved ones to Covid, two families in Bengaluru have received news that's as painful as their loss -- the bodies have been rotting for over a year in the hospital's mortuary.
