A man is in critical condition after a shooting at a Kroger in Pleasure Ridge Park on Tuesday, according to Louisville Metro Police. Louisville Metro Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 4500 block of Trumpet Way at about 3:45 p.m., department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. At the scene, officers found the boy suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he died from his injuries, Mitchell said. LMPDs Homicide Unit is investigating. There are no suspects. 

Louisville Metro Police have launched a death investigation after a body was found in the Ohio River on Wednesday.  Police received a report around noon of the body found near 27th Street and Shippingport Drive on the border of the citys Portland neighborhood, LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. Officers pulled the body from the river and was sent to the medical examiner. Officials will know more information Thursday, Mitchell said.
