Strategic fouling and grinding tempo all paid off for Lakeland down the stretch in a 37-34 victory over Walled Lake Northern to open district play Monday evening. 

The Ronan Girls won their second-straight championship at the All-State Girls Wrestling Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10, filling up the podium at MetraPark in Billings with several champs and placers.

Ronan had six divisional champions as the Maidens won the Western A Divisional Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3, in Hamilton. Polson girls placed second.

Ronan High School’s boys wrestling team is having a great year, and junior Koda King is in the thick of it, wrestling in the 152-pound class. The highly motivated student athlete is the recipient of the Winslow Nichols Leadership Award from Logan Health.

The Ronan Girls Wrestling team had two first-place finishers and collected enough points to secure second as a team at the CMR Holiday Classic in Great Falls on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15-16.

Already boys' and girls' teams champions at the Owen Invitational this year, it's hard to ignore what is happening in Ronan regarding wrestling.

LINCOLN — More than 6,400 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

The event was held at Bloomsburg University Sunday afternoon.
