Many Kabul residents tell Newsy they fear U.S. troops withdrawal will lead to civil war and boost the Taliban s power.

With news that all U.S. and NATO troops will soon leave their country, many Afghans are feeling anxious about their future. If the U.S. troops leave, the consequences will be a civil war again. Because the different parties and warlords in our country will claim superiority and will fight for power, said Ahmad, a Kabul resident.
Despite Secretary of State Antony Blinken s surprise stop in Afghanistan on Thursday to assure senior politicians that the U.S. will remain committed to the country from afar, many fear the Taliban could soon return to power.

Iran says it started enriching its uranium up to 60 percent. That s its highest level ever.
The move comes after an attack on one of its nuclear sites over the weekend.
Iran is also in the middle of talks with world powers about allowing the U.S. back into the nuclear deal.
That deal is aimed at keeping Tehran from pursuing its nuclear ambitions.
Iran had been enriching uranium at 20 percent, and while 60 percent is a huge jump, it s still less than the 90 percent that s considered weapons-grade.
Under the nuclear deal it s supposed to keep those levels under four percent.

At least eight people are dead after a mass shooting in Indianapolis. It happened at a FedEx facility.
Multiple other people were injured. At least four were taken to the hospital. Police say the shooter killed himself.
It s the fourth shooting with at least seven deaths in less than a month.
Now Indianapolis like Atlanta, Boulder and Rock Hill, South Carolina is asking why this happened there. It s important to know that emotions are very high here, said Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Genae Cook. There are a lot of people, not just officers, but family members who are still arriving and still learning about this incident.
