Online interactive map called Places compares 27 health factors including heart disease, diabetes in communities across the country.

Where you live can affect your health. And now there s a new way to measure the health of your community: a CDC data tool called Places. It s an online, hyper-local look at health factors across the country. This gives you a whole new view of the data in Places, said Karen Hacker, director at the CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion.
The online interactive map tracks 27 chronic disease factors, like heart disease, diabetes and health insurance. Type in your ZIP code and you can compare the prevalence of diseases in your location to other neighborhoods or the country as a whole.

Dog trainers say they re already working with owners to prepare their pups for time apart when in-person work resumes.

They are nappers, snackers and, as of this pandemic, your live-in coworkers. It is typically a bipartisan team of people that will be looking over any disputed ballots. Pardon the dog in the background, Stephanie Liebergen, newsy political reporter, said.
Like so many dog owners, our team here at Newsy is navigating working remotely with pups by our side and occasionally on camera.
But when it comes time to return to in-person work, most dogs won’t be able to go with their owners to the office even if they try to sneak into the car. So how do you prepare for that transition, especially when they ve become so accustomed to having you home 24/7?

In one of the more deadly incidents in FBI history, two agents were killed and three were wounded while carrying out a search warrant in Florida.

In one of the more deadly incidents in the FBI s long history, two agents were killed and three were wounded while conducting a search warrant in Sunrise, Florida, a few miles outside of Ft. Lauderdale.
The FBI s press office tells Newsy the search was in connection with “violent crimes against children.”
In a statement, the FBI Agents Association said the agents were there “to seize evidence in connection with suspected possession of child pornography.”
