Dyslexia Task Force Act News Today

ASSEMBLYMEMBER ROBERT CARROLL on Tuesday announced that his Dyslexia Diagnosis Access Act passed the state Senate Insurance Committee; the first-in-the-nation bill would require private health insurance to pay for the neuropsychological exams needed to diagnose dyslexia, which are currently not commonly covered and may cost more than $6,000.

Carroll said signing the bill into law was a significant first step towards addressing the needs of dyslexic students.
