UP E Bus: With the aim to facilitate the movement of people to the religious places of the state, the Yogi government plans to run electric buses to the major religious centres of the state such as Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Chitrakoot from Lucknow. For this, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has decided to include 250 electric buses in its fleet in the first phase.

According to officials, 250 buses will be added as part of the project in its first phase, followed by more in the future.

BMTC Tata Motors Electric Buses: BMTC officials said they will induct 921 Tata e-buses by March 2024 as part of the Centres Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME-II) scheme.
