Mumbai continued to witness a surge in new coronavirus cases, adding to the worries of the citizens. On Friday, the city reported four deaths and 1,646 new COVID-19 cases. The total number of positive cases in Mumbai now stands at 3,40,277 and 11,519 people have succumbed to the virus in Mumbai so far.Mumbai s overall case growth rate is 0.34 per cent, with incidence higher in areas like Mulund at 0.51 per cent, Juhu at 0.47 per cent and Sion and Matunga at 0.44 per cent.To contain the spread of the virus, restrictions have been imposed by the authorities in Thane, Mira Bhayandar and Kalyan Dombivli.In another development, the Maharashtra government closed the Katai and Kongaon toll nakas in Thane district.Catch all the latest Mumbai updates here:
