Significant challenges remain before NASA attempts to launch humans into space during future Artemis mission
According to a NASA Office of Inspector General report, the Artemis I test flight in December 2022 unveiled anomalies associated with the heat shield, separation bolts and power distribution in the Orion spacecraft. The report said a failure in any of these fields could cause significant risks to the safety of the crew.
