Easter Eggcitement News Today

With 177 new cases and a seven-day positivity rate of 9%, the overall total rose to 91,203 COVID-19 cases and 1,340 deaths.

Amarillo Zoo will be hosting the Easter Eggcitement this weekend.

The 125 new cases amounted to a seven-day postivity rate of 11 percent.

Amarillo Public Health will be providing a free COVID-19 vaccines and boosters to residents until May 11.

Amarillo offers plenty of Easter fun for the whole family, beginning as soon as this weekend and leading up to the holiday on Sunday, April 9.

During the "Easter Eggcitement" event at the Amarillo Zoo, children were able to see animals, play games, and collect eggs with candy.

Everyone at the Amarillo Zoo is celebrating Easter – including the animals – and the community is invited to join in the festivities.
