Eci Order News Today

The Election Commission (EC) has declared the Ajit Pawar faction as the real Nationalist Congress Party, a decision that has been criticized as the "murder of democracy." Former Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh called the ruling under "pressure from above," while NCP leader Praful Patel argued that the majority of party workers and elected representatives support Ajit Pawar.

The ECI applied the test of majority in the legislative wing to determine which of the two factions can claim to be the real NCP.
