In preparing to do so, i thought back about all the challenges that we have faced for the better part of the last decade, and of all the successes that have been achieved together. I considered the plans we have set into motion that will carry us well into the next decade and beyond. In february of 2011, Congress Imposed a ban on earmarks, and President Trump is suggesting that they be restored. Yesterday, the Committee Heard from congress members, and today, it will be representatives from outside groups supporting and opposing earmarks.
