Educator Preparation Program Design Collaborative News Today

A handful of teacher candidates from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will spend this year working with experienced teachers in a local school district with the goal of being prepared to begin their own teaching careers with aplomb when they graduate.

Officials say the funding will be used to increase the quantity, quality and diversity of the state’s teacher workforce.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia are to receive a combined $3.6 million in funding and technical assistance from expert partners over the next three years to increase the quantity, quality and diversity of the states teacher workforce.
