Though temperatures have been relatively mild so far this winter, Chicagoans can expect some pretty chilly temperatures in the near future, a man who was out on parole shot and killed three people last Sunday outside a bar in Portage Park – he is in custody facing multiple charges, and a 15-year-old girl was found dead in a suburban hotel room after being reported missing. Edwin Lagunas, 18, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and aggravated battery, police said.

A group of people was standing in the 5800 block of West Augusta Boulevard when the 18-year-old opened fire, police said. A teen girl and a 44-year-old man were fatally shot.

Edwin Lagunas, 18, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder and an additional count of aggravated battery with a firearm stemming from the Nov. 20 shooting that left Ruby Navarrete and Lynner Hawkins dead.
