Why I'm 88 per cent dedicated to bringing you this week's column
In addition to the teachers and doctors and rail workers (etc), I’m sad to report that women are now also on strike. Not fully, you’ll be pleased to hear, but given this week’s news that women earn 88p to every £1 earned by a man — a percentage that has worsened since the start of mandatory reporting of such figures six years ago — they will only be accomplishing 88 per cent of any given job or task.
