ASUC senators discussed Senate Resolution 22/23-057, moving beyond partisan politics in the ASUC during the weekly senate meeting Wednesday.

My recommendation to my peers is to vote for independent candidates. Vote for students who will fight for you instead of fighting for a party.

ASUC senator Mahathi Kandimalla introduced Senate Resolution No. 2022/2023-057 last week in an effort to ban political parties and coalitions from participating in future ASUC elections.

Lanah Duque, a second-year political science and media studies student, is running with Elevate Cal for ASUC Senate on the platforms of Pilipinx and greater BIPOC community resources, mental wellness, ongoing SVSH training for RSOs and increased accessibility of ASUC resources.

Max Rodman, a freshman and political economy major, is running for ASUC Senate as a member of Elevate Cal on the platforms of academic reform, ASUC transparency and religious equity.
