BOARDMAN — Boardman could have a new city manager as soon as Tuesday night, May 2.

The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly has approved Mayor Aimee Williams’ contract for when she transitions to the position of borough manager.

The candidate for the Boardman city manager job has withdrawn her name from consideration, according to the city of Boardman.

The City of Soldotna is extending an offer of employment to Janette Bower to become the next city manager following a decision by city council members last week. The Soldotna City Council convened for a special meeting Feb. 13, during which it moved to offer Bower a conditional offer of employment.

The candidate for the Boardman city manager job has withdrawn her name from consideration, according to the city of Boardman.

A recent meet-and-greet session for the next Boardman city manager is the right path for city leaders to take and such sessions always pay dividends in the future.

The two will visit Soldotna for in-person meetings on Feb. 7 and 13, respectively
