The Mendota Trail hit another milestone recently with the grand opening of the Benhams Crossing trestle. There was also an additional section of the trail opened that includes what enthusiasts refer to as “the cut.” The crossing was sponsored by Rick and Doreen Heppert, who frequent the area on bikes and have passed under the bridge numerous times. December 14 Amanda Pardi recently pulled an all-nighter, but it wasn’t for any of the classes in her senior year at St. Thomas University. Instead, the 2017 Lourdes High School grad was in the middle of releasing a variety pack of coffee for the business she helps run, Vitality Roasting. Releasing that variety pack didn’t go as smoothly as she would have liked.
