The Logan County Grand Jury convened on Jan. 2, 2024, and returned in open court indictments against the following individuals:

On March 13, 2023, the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint at the Lewisburg Senior Homes in reference to two juvenile males opening and going through mailboxes.

The current statute hasn't been updated since 1982 and doesn't include protection for packages delivered by UPS or FedEx.

Howard Kerns, 53, from Dearing, Georgia, was sentenced to two months in federal prison after he pled guilty to the felony crime of Theft of Mail Matter by a Postal Employee.
