The EPA has raised concerns about a cancer-causing chemical emitted in high amounts by the B. Braun plant in Hanover Township, Lehigh County. The company has released far more ethylene oxide in its operations than Sterigenics, a plant outside Chicago that was forced by Illinois to suspend operations amid public outcry over emissions of the carcinogen.
