Over the last day, 66 combat engagements took place in various sectors of the frontline, with the Russians continuing in their attempts to encircle Avdiivka, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said on Nov. 4 in its summary of the previous day’s events.

Russian invasion forces have eased their attacks on Avdiivka to replace their losses and regroup, Oleksandr Shtupun, Tavria front defense forces spokesperson, said on national television on Nov. 2.

Over 60 combat engagements took place in various sectors of the frontline on Oct. 27 as Russian troops continued their attempts to encircle Avdiivka, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said in its morning update on Facebook.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces maintain a strong defense in the Avdiivka sector, inflicting significant losses on the Russian occupiers still attempting to surround the city, the Ukrainian General Staff reported on Facebook on Oct. 25.

Units from the Rocket Forces and Artillery of the Defence Forces destroyed 12 artillery pieces and Russia's logistics hub during the day; the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Tuesday evening.

Ukrainian forces are maintaining a strong defense in the Avdiyivka sector, inflicting significant losses on Russian invasion forces, which are nevertheless still attempting to surround the city, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff reported on Facebook on Oct. 23.

Russia is trying and repeatedly failing to surround of Avdiyivka in Donetsk Oblast, with Ukrainian troops doggedly defending the key front-line town in the Donbas, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a Facebook post on Oct. 21.

Russian occupiers have intensified their attacks on Avdiyivka in Donetsk Oblast, with continuous heavy fighting entering its fourth day.

Russian forces attempted unsuccessfully to advance in the east, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operations on the Melitopol and Bakhmut sectors, as 68 combat engagements on various front sectors took place in the past 24 hours.

On 4 October, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian invaders unsuccessfully tried to reclaim their lost positions near settlements of Hryhorivka and Andriivka, Donetsk Oblast.
