SRINAGAR: The persisting dry weather across the valley has brought down the water level in Jhelum to 70 year low in the month of September. The valley has been witnessing dry weather for more than a month, which has complicated the problems of water scarcity and irrigation for the farmers.

SRINAGAR: Several regions in Kashmir have experienced unprecedented rainfall, breaking all-time records for 24-hour rainfall in July. Pahalgam experienced its highest 24-hour rainfall ever recorded in July. Rainfall on Saturday reached 73.3 mm, surpassing the previous record of 60.

SRINAGAR: As the Kashmir received incessant rainfall since yesterday, the authorities on Wednesday said that there is no alarming flood-like situation in the Valley and people need not to panic.
