Daycare developer buys parcel in Vernon

A daycare developer has purchased land in Vernon, according to information from the broker involved. Chicago-based InSite Real Estate Group recently closed on purchasing the 1.57-acre parcel at 273 Talcottville Road, also known as Route 83. The company plans to develop the property into a new daycare facility, according to New England Retail Properties Inc.      Matt Halrpin and Kerry Wood of New England Retail Properties were the exclusive brokers in the sale on behalf of the former property owner 273 Talcottville Road LLC.

Naugatuck buys former Bank of America branch for $1 1M

The borough of Naugatuck has purchased for $1.1 million the former Bank of America building at 275 Church St. Naugatuck Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess said the use of the newly acquired property will be determined by the Board of Mayor and Burgesses at its next meeting on Oct. 4. The property will likely be used for a a variety of community events, he said. Hess said that purchasing the property, which includes parking in downtown Naugatuck, allows the borough to “determine the destiny” of the site rather than leave it up to the open market.

A Dunkin Donuts location just off Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill sold for $1.5 million in late December. Cromwell-based Tres Trai Realty LLC paid $1.5 million for a half-acre retail property at 767 Cromwell Ave. in a deal recorded Dec. 22, according to town records. The property hosts a roughly 1,806-square-foot restaurant building built in 2006.

Middletown property hosting a Tractor Supply Co store sells for $5 8M

New England Retail Properties announced Monday it has sold a 4.5-acre commercial property in Middletown hosting a Tractors Supply Co. store for $5.8 million. The sale of the property at 815 Newfield St. has not yet been logged into city records. New England Retail Properties declined to disclose the buyer. The release describes the new owner as a “private investor based in the Midwest.” The sale includes an ongoing lease to Tractor Supply and will not affect ongoing store operations, according to the seller.
