“I'm not gonna do anything capriciously or just with a sledgehammer here,” DoD CIO John Sherman said, as he seeks to "make sure the government is getting the best value for our dollar and the very best mission outcome."

"While so much of what we accomplished is visible now, the biggest accomplishments will not be seen for a few more years," Army Chief Information Officer Raj Iyer said.

The intent is to have one single contract vehicle to support moving Army systems to the cloud, which currently doesn’t exist, that will be quick and cheap, the service's chief information officer said.
