The International Judo Federation Academy hosted its 100th practical session in Dominican Republic last week.

The IJF Academy is now a well-established institution, with impressive results. Since its inception, 5,864 registrations have passed through the Academy, of which 2953 have already graduated, from 130 countries. Under the patronage of the International Judo Federation, the Academy travels the world to provide high quality education for judo coaches. Margareta Bacsu, Julianna Kiralyi and Zoltan Jernei from the Hungarian Judo Association travelled to Ljubljana for the final transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ SchoolJudo.EU project and presented their summary of the pilot project in their context.

The European Judo Union has revealed plans to hold a Medical Seminar in Istanbul in November, led by Medical Commission chair Envic Galea.

In December 2021 the IJF Academy selected Turkey as one of the regional centres. After the Turkish Judo Federation, under the leadership of President Sezer Huysuz, had just opened a state-of-the art headquarters in Ankara, the IJF Academy organised its last practical session for 21 students.
