Virtual climate meeting taking place Thursday night

Youth are speaking out on climate action for our city.
That’s the theme of a virtual meeting Thursday night being hosted by the City of Stratford’s Energy and Environment Advisory Committee and members of the Eco Club at Stratford District Secondary School.
Organizers say a number of issues including transportation, waste, urban sprawl and reforestation will be addressed.
The event is part of a series of monthly webinars on climate action for Stratford following the declaration of a climate emergency in February 2020.
It starts at 7 o’clock on Zoom.
Weatherize Concord program stalled by delay in NH Saves update

A delay by regulators updating a state efficiency program has left 32 Concord buildings in limbo as they wait for help to cut their energy use.
“It was a bit of a surprise because both Liberty Utilities and Unitil had consistently communicated to the energy committee and city administration … that the most recent iteration delay would not affect the project in 2021,” said Councilor Rob Werner, who chairs the Energy and Environment Advisory Committee.
The Committee oversees Weatherize Concord, a program that hoped to provide assistance to 80 buildings this year via a long-standing program called NH Saves.
