Vietnam's national assembly approved this week a plan to cut environment tax on fuel by half for the second time in three months as soaring energy prices put pressure on inflation, state television reported.

Environmental protection tax rates on fuels will be reduced from April 1 under the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s resolution recently signed off by NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
