Reporter San Francisco does have an emergency plan for an excessive heat wave and they say that plan should have been activated before the temperature reached 106 degrees. Now with three deaths linked to that heat wave, they want to know what went wrong. Im very saddened by that. Three deaths is three too many. Reporter San Francisco supervisor aaron peskin reacting to a report from the medical Examiners Office. Three elderly people between the ages of 80 and 97 died alone in their homes from heat related illness. The deaths happened during the record setting Labor Day Holiday heat wave and they add to a growing list of questions about how well city agencies were prepared. Major highways are clogged with cars. You can see from the Helicopter Shot as evacuation orders are sending people inland and to the north in order to get out of irmas path. Local leaders say that people who chose to stay in the areas that are now under evacuation wont have any help later. We boarded up the house, and were hoping for the best.
