The Epsilon-6 rocket launched in Japan on Oct. 12 received a self-destruct signal from JAXA. The latest Epsilon rocket launch from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) had to be terminated early due to a course deviation mid-flight.

The solid-fuel Epsilon rocket, which has been in service since 2013, was taking several satellites into orbit on its sixth space mission.

Japan’s space agency said a problem had been discovered that meant the solid-fuel rocket could not safely fly.
