The North Westwood Neighborhood Council is the official neighborhood council representing UCLA and Westwood to the Los Angeles City Council. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month and are open to the public at UCLA’s Weyburn Terrace.

Preliminary results for the North Westwood Neighborhood Council’s biennial election were released Wednesday by the Los Angeles City Clerk’s office. The election was held May 4 in Ackerman Union’s Bruin Viewpoint Room, as the NWWNC represents UCLA’s campus and Westwood Village to the LA City Council.

Students and community members will vote on 19 candidates to fill 18 council positions in the upcoming North Westwood Neighborhood Council elections on May 4. Voting will be held from noon to 6 p.m.

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council and the Undergraduate Students Association Council partnered with the nonprofit group Streets for All to launch the Westwood Connected campaign for new bus lanes, bike lanes and walking improvements to the community.

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council is set to return to in-person meetings April 19 after three years of online meetings. California modified the Ralph M. Brown Act – which requires all public commissions, councils and governmental bodies conducting business to meet in person – on Feb.
