The Putnam County Commission has tried to get the legal action taken by the residents of Frazier's Bottom to stop a zoning change tossed out of court.

A hearing, on May 17, 2024, on petitions filed to stop a recent zoning change in the rural community of Fraziers Bottom in Putnam County, West Virginia and the motions to dismiss them ended with no ruling from the judge. The arguments during the hearing revolved around the Putnam County Planning Commissions recommendation and the Putnam County Commission approval to rezone a 36-acre tract of land to C-2 for heavy industrial use for a proposed 123,940 square foot distribution warehouse facility.
