Vessev has today revealed the VS-9 which will unlock entirely new opportunities for premium passenger transport on the water.

New Zealand start-up Vessev has launched its first electric hydrofoiling passenger vessel, the VS-9, in partnership with local ferry operator Fullers360.

The vessel is thought to be the first of its type in the tourism industry.

Using some of the same technology found in Americas Cup winning sailing vessels, marine tech company Vessev has launched a premium tourism electric hydrofoil ferry.

Shifting from large ferries to smaller boats within fleets challenges an industry accustomed to long capital expenditure cycles spanning two to three decades.
