Stowe police pursued a stolen vehicle until its occupants fled into the woods off Nebraska Valley Road last Friday night, eventually catching up with their suspect the next day.

Police said 31-year-old Eric Loyer of Bristol was last seen in the Burlington area driving a stolen gold Lexus with the license plate GTF484.

The officer was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
