A week after the Nov. 8 election, results are becoming clearer and indicate decisive wins in all but a few races.

Catherine Vonnegut and Esmeralda Ortiz were solidly ahead in the race for the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School Districts board as early results came in, with a tight race for the third seat between Thida Cornes and Eric Mark.

Polls have closed in California and preliminary results have started to come in at the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, which estimates it has tallied 42% of total ballots
