On Tuesday, Nov. 14 the city council deferred approving municipal consent for 30 days to give business owners affected by the project additional time to negotiate with MnDOT.

About two dozen speakers addressed Tampa police Tuesday night. Some asked for a crackdown on Ybor’s rowdy nightlife scene; others pushed for youth outreach measures.

There was a good amount of frustration from some of the people who attended a meeting in Ybor City to discuss how to move forward after the recent shooting left two dead, including a 14-year-old.

Businesses in Ybor City are struggling after a shooting that killed two people and injured 16 others over the Halloween weekend.

Business owners that will be directly impacted by the upcoming project were in attendance and voiced their concerns about the Highway 10 layout version presented at the meeting.

The 2025 project will improve access and traffic flow; reduce congestion; improve ride quality and drainage; and increase motorist and pedestrian safety, MnDOT reported.

Estelle Brown passed at 95 years old on March 11, 2023 at Good Samaritan-Woodland in Brainerd and will be deeply missed by her family. GARRISON — The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the city of Garrison invite the community to attend a public meeting to learn about plans to improve Highway 169 through Garrison on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
